The International Teddy Bear Day is celebrated annually on September 9th. The day is to celebrate the presence of the lovable toy which had been a childhood friend to a lot of people. It’s a popular day and known better than 10th February Teddy Day. If you look back to the history, the bear is named after US former president, Theodore Roosevelt, because he refused to shoot an American black bear when he was hunting on Mississippi, 1902. Then the incident was drawn into a cartoon by Clifford Berryman.  He made the bear looks cuter and far from a dangerous look. Morris Michtom who saw the cartoon inspired to create a cute bear toy and named it after the president – which is our teddy bear now.
